Bettino Ricasoli: his model and its up-to-dateness in current times.

The first edition of Classico is also wants to pay tribute to a leading personage in Italian history (and Chianti’s in particular) on the two-hundredth anniversary of his birth: Baron Bettino Ricasoli.

In memory of the “Iron Baron” and to analyze his farsighted views that two centuries ago interpreted viticulture and its socio-economic system in a spirit still considered modern, a conference will be held at his own Castello di Brolio.
